Field Operations Install Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Design & Client Collaboration (20-30%): Partner with sales teams to design customized solutions that meet client needs. Assist in pre-project planning and provide clear job design and scope for the installation team. Ensure that all client expectations are captured in the design phase to avoid issues during installation.
Field Supervision & Guidance (50%): Oversee multiple job sites daily, ensuring the installation process runs smoothly and according to plan. Perform regular site visits to verify that work is being completed on time, safely, and according to quality standards. Provide guidance and support to installation teams, troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Problem Solving & Support (30%): Assist in troubleshooting on-site issues, whether with equipment or installation practices, to ensure projects continue smoothly. Provide phone support to technicians, apprentices, and clients as needed, including after hours or outside of regular working hours when required.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols are adhered to on job sites, conducting regular site visits to assess and resolve any safety concerns. Assist in investigating and resolving reported safety issues.
Administrative Tasks & Reporting: Work closely with the Install Manager to ensure installations are scheduled and completed on time. Ensure daily checklists, notes, and photos are completed by technicians. Assist with inventory management, truck inspections, and material stock levels to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- EPA Certified
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- At least 5 years of experience in installation of diverse HVAC equipment or related fields
- Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and installation manuals
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on exceeding client expectations
- Valid driver’s license and approved to drive by the company’s insurance provider
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work outside of scheduled hours when necessary to support the team
- Physically able to work in challenging conditions, including climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
- Occasional need to climb ladders and steep stairs, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach
- Ability to work in tight spaces such as attics and crawl space
