People MVR is a specialized recruiting and talent solutions firm focused on the construction and home-services industries. We are currently recruiting an experienced General Manager on behalf of a growing national roofing organization that is expanding into a new market.

This is an opportunity to build and lead a market from the ground up.

The General Manager will be responsible for establishing the local operation, building the team, developing the market, and ultimately owning the branch's financial and operational performance.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced roofing or home-services leader who has an entrepreneurial mindset and wants significant responsibility, autonomy, and earning potential.

The Opportunity

As General Manager, you will:

• Launch and build a new market from the ground up
• Take ownership of the local operation, culture, and overall performance
• Own the P&L, including revenue, profitability, job costs, margins, and expenses
• Build and lead a high-performing local team
• Hire, and develop key leadership positions across sales, production, and operations
• Hire and lead a Head of Sales and Head of Production
• Establish performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability across the branch
• Drive profitable revenue growth and market expansion
• Oversee the relationship between sales, production, and operations
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently, profitably, and to a high standard
• Build relationships within the local construction, roofing, and home-services community
• Develop relationships with homeowners, builders, property managers, contractors, and other strategic partners
• Maintain a strong customer experience and reputation in the market
• Implement and enforce company systems, processes, and technology
• Work directly with senior leadership as the market grows

What You'll Have

Required:

• Proven leadership experience in roofing, construction, or home services
• Experience managing a team, location, division, or P&L
• Demonstrated success driving revenue and profitability
• Experience leading both sales and operational/production teams
• Proven ability to recruit, hire, develop, and hold people accountable
• Strong financial and business acumen
• High level of ownership and accountability
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Preferred:

• Experience launching or scaling a new branch, territory, or market
• Roofing industry experience
• Experience in residential and/or commercial roofing
• Familiarity with ServiceTitan or a similar CRM/field-service platform
• Established relationships within the local construction or home-services community
• Experience building a team in a high-growth environment
• Ability to qualify for or hold the contractor's license required in [STATE]

Compensation & Earning Potential

• $140,000–$180,000 base salary, depending on experience
• Performance bonus opportunity of up to 100% of base salary
• Significant earning potential tied directly to the revenue and profitability of the market
• Opportunity to build and lead a new market with substantial autonomy
