Preferred Roofing is hiring an experienced Roofing Field Supervisor to join our production team and help oversee residential and commercial roofing projects throughout Southern California.

This is a boots-on-the-ground field management role for someone who knows roofing, understands what quality workmanship looks like, and isn't afraid to hold crews accountable to a high standard.

You'll work directly under the Lead Superintendent, overseeing individual jobs from pre-walk through completion. You'll spend your days visiting active jobsites, communicating with crews and foremen, inspecting workmanship, identifying issues, and making sure projects continue moving in the right direction.

What You'll Do

As a Roofing Field Supervisor, you'll manage individual roofing projects in the field and ensure Preferred Roofing's standards are being followed consistently.

You'll serve as an important connection between the Lead Superintendent, roofing crews and foremen, customers, and the production office.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conduct pre-job walks to identify project requirements and potential issues before work begins
• Visit active roofing jobs throughout the day to monitor progress and workmanship
• Conduct post-job walks and verify work is complete before projects are closed out
• Communicate expectations and project requirements with roofing crews and foremen
• Inspect roofing installations and verify work meets project specifications and company quality standards
• Identify incorrect installations, workmanship concerns, material issues, and other jobsite problems
• Address field issues proactively before they create production delays or customer concerns
• Hold crews accountable for quality, cleanliness, safety, and project expectations
• Monitor project progress and help keep jobs moving toward completion
• Coordinate closely with the Lead Superintendent and production office
• Communicate job status, delays, material needs, change orders, and unexpected conditions
• Document job progress with photos, notes, and project updates
• Complete final walkthroughs and punch lists
• Ensure jobsites remain clean, organized, safe, and professional
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and address jobsite questions or concerns
• Help ensure a consistent customer experience from the start of the project through completion

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes ownership in the field.

You shouldn't need someone to tell you every time something needs attention. You notice when a project is starting to get off track, understand what needs to happen next, and communicate with the right people to get it resolved.

You know enough about roofing to recognize when something isn't being installed correctly. You're comfortable holding a crew accountable while still maintaining productive working relationships.

You're also comfortable working as part of a larger production team. You can take direction from the Lead Superintendent, communicate clearly with the production office, and provide reliable information about what's happening across your assigned jobs.

Most importantly, you're organized, dependable, proactive, customer-friendly, and committed to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Previous roofing experience required
• Previous experience supervising roofing or construction crews strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial roofing installation practices
• Ability to recognize improper installation, workmanship issues, and potential jobsite problems
• Experience conducting jobsite inspections, pre-walks, progress inspections, and/or final walkthroughs
• Strong leadership skills and ability to hold crews accountable
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple active jobs and priorities throughout the day
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions in the field
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work effectively under a Lead Superintendent and as part of a production team
• Comfortable communicating with homeowners, crews, foremen, management, and office staff
• Comfortable using a smartphone to take jobsite photos and provide project updates
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel between active jobsites throughout the assigned territory
• Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus
